As the temperature drops below freezing, the southern region comes to mind, especially since it is one of my favorite travel destinations. From spring to winter places to visit in Jeju Island, there are different things to enjoy in each season, so there is always something new. In particular, I wonder if it is the same country as the weather is much warmer than Seoul. This time, Charlie and I went to places worth visiting in Jeju Island in the winter, and we've compiled a list of places you can enjoy right now!

1. [Aewol] Coveted Farm
This is the coveted farm we were most looking forward to in our plan for places to visit in Jeju Island this winter. It is a place worth visiting in Jeju in the winter where you can experience tangerine picking. I had high expectations for this place because I heard they recently opened a cafe as well. As it is a cafe in a tangerine farm, there were tangerine-based menu items such as tangerine cafe latte, tangerine milk tea, and tangerine rice gangjeong. It was surprising that the combination went well together. Before the tangerine picking experience, I listened to the owner's explanation and headed to the farm. We also rented out cute tangerine hats for free, so we wore one with Charlie and entered the farm!
Before the experience, I started picking open tangerines one by one using the basket and scissors I received. I was picking tangerines and forgot one, but it was moderately sweet and sour. Charlie put a whole tangerine into his mouth, saying it tasted better because it was freshly picked. After filling the basket, I spent the remaining time walking around and taking pictures with Charlie. There are cute photo zones all over the place, so Jeju Island is a place worth visiting in the winter where you can take a lot of unique photos. If you fill the basket with tangerines, they will put them in a bag for easy carrying. I even ordered it home to share with my parents and coworkers. It was a unique place to visit in Jeju in the winter.
2. [Seogwipo] Dongbaek Forest
Dongbaek Forest, a famous place to visit in winter on Jeju Island! We announced the news of camellia flowering on our official Instagram. At this point, I decided to go, telling Charlie that I had to definitely go there. I parked in the parking lot and paid the admission fee at the ticket booth. Although there is an admission fee only during the camellia season, it is a place worth visiting in Jeju winter as it is open without holidays. Also, although it is a cafe, using the cafe is not required, you can just look at the camellia flowers. Charlie and I decided to take out coffee and take pictures at the photo zone inside the cafe.
When I went to the garden, there were lots of pink baby camellia flowers in bloom. There are sculptures throughout the garden, great places to take pictures, and places to sit and rest. The pink petals that filled the floor were really pretty as the petals fell one by one. It is a place worth visiting in Jeju winter that is worth the admission fee. We took a lot of couple photos using the tripod that Charlie brought. Along with the camellia flowers, she also had a tangerine tree. She said that these tangerines were called ha tangerines, which are not often eaten because they are so green and bitter. Instead, it did a great job in helping me take pretty pictures. Jeju Island is a place worth visiting in the winter, as the flowering is a little late this year, so you might be able to see the pink camellia flowers until January.
3. [Seogwipo] 1100 Hill Wetland
The 1100 Highland Wetland is a popular place for winter enthusiasts in Jeju Island. Jeju Island is famous for its snowy scenery and is worth a visit in the winter. There are no operating hours or entrance fees, so you can visit freely. However, the parking lot is small and there are a lot of cars when it snows heavily, so I recommend visiting early in the morning. We visited late and were tired of parking. As it is famous as a snowy spot, there is a way to check if there is snow in advance. If you click the square in the upper right corner of the Naver map, you can view the CCTV and check it in real time.
The 1100 Altitude Wetland has the advantage of being able to comfortably climb up to 1,100m by car, but since it is at such a high altitude, it is really cold, so I had no choice but to stick close to Charlie. The hot pack I brought along just in case was also helpful. For those who get cold a lot, it might be a good idea to buy a warm drink at the GS convenience store in Goji. When I looked around the area with Charlie, I saw a bus stop and a white white rock statue. We also took pictures of Charlie carrying snow tongs and mass producing snow ducks. The snow ducks that Charlie made caught the attention of passers-by. Jeju Island is a place worth visiting in winter, with cold but beautiful snow scenes and lots of pictures taken.
4. [Ihoil-dong] Iho Tewoo Beach
Iho Tewoo Beach is close to Jeju Airport, about 10 minutes away, so it's a good place to add it to your last list of places to visit in Jeju Island in the winter. It is one of the most popular beaches, especially because of its unique horse-shaped lighthouse. The sea breeze was quite cold, but the red and white horse lighthouses standing side by side were quite cute. Iho Tewoo is a combination of the village name ‘Iho’ and ‘Tewoo’ which means raft. So, I heard that around July, various events such as rowing Tewoo and making Tewoo are held. I pretended not to be interested and asked what the winter sea sentiment was, but then Charlie came looking for various information haha.
You can also see acacia and pine forests nearby, so it's definitely a cool place to visit in Jeju in the winter when the weather is nice. However, because it is smaller and more accessible than other beaches, quite a few people were taking a walk even in the cold weather. Iho Tewoo Beach is a place worth visiting in winter on Jeju Island, where the sunset is really pretty. We stopped by briefly before heading back to Seoul, so we didn't see the sunset, but we decided to be satisfied with taking pictures with the cute horse lighthouse.
